Now let’s not beat about the bush; not since I saw Julia Roberts in Notting Hill have I liked something at first sight as much I did today on seeing Ljubjlana. The place is glorious !!
The train journey from Zagreb was pretty eventful; as seem all journeys that start at the Glavni Kolodvor train station. I was all set for my 12.30pm train to Ljubjlana when it was cancelled; obviously it was cancelled with a Croatian announcement. Fortunately I went to the information office were she explained that a bus would take us to a station further down the line. We left thirty minutes late on a thirty minute bus ride; we then got on a train that seemed to have been just got out of retirement. This train crept us all the way to Dobova and the Slovenian border, where we changed to a better train to take us the rest of the way; we made it unscathed if not a little stressed.

I had no idea what to expect of Slovenia, but the train journey showed parts of a lovely country. The capital city just took it to a whole new level. Just fantastic, simply marvelous. I would have quite happily stayed several days, but I was restricted to a few hours in the pleasure of the company of this beautiful city. I will be back.

Okay Arni!! All sounds pretty wonderful, your planning was worthwhile looks lovely xx
