Another sunny day in Lima started with a check list of things to do and see, on that list was Huaca Pucilana which is a sacred place that is a seven tier clay pyramid. Taking the walk from the hotel the place is an easy walk along Grau avenue. Bad news was on arrival we found the old tourist disaster, CLOSED ON TUESDAYS. It is possible to take photos from the road, which I did, but learning more will have be done at a later time. If you were being disapproving you could say it looked like a building site with workmen doing some brick work…but I am guessing that would be a little unfair on the history or tradition.

A short walk gets you to Kennedy Park, or the cat park as it is known locally. A nice park in the middle of a buzzing city, Lima seems to do those well.

From there it was a taxi ride to the main attraction of the city in Museo Larco which showcases 4000 years of Peruvian history and brings ancient treasures on Peru. Lots of interesting stories and amazing artifacts that make this a well worth visit to the Pueblo Libre district on the west side of Lima.
The transportation in Lima is mad as you are driven around, so hiring a car here would be a disaster zone for a tourist. That said, getting around either on foot, via the Metropolitano or a taxi has proved very easy. Taxis are inexpensive, but generally we have gotten people to order them for us. Going from the museum to Circuito Magico del Agua is a good 25 minute tai ride across town that cost around $6, and taxi was a great way to travel across town and weave a path seeing Lima and all the control of chaos.
Circuito Magico del Aqua is the world largest water fountain complex, and by night is home to magical lights and fountain show that is impressive. The adults try to stay dry and the kids try to get wet, just as you would expect !

Back to Miraflores via the again entertaining Metropolitano, and a little getting lost on the walk from there, of course, can’t travel without getting lost. Trying to get a reservation at the highly recommended Edo Sushi Bar just would not quite happen, and we had to find an alternative. I couldn’t bring myself to go into the Liverpool Restaurant Bar that is on Calle Berlin close to Edo, so went to Massala for Indian food as an alternative for more good food in Lima.
Tomorrow bring Argentina and another flying day to explore a new country, can’t say fairer than that.
