Writing is like an old friend that I hold dear for a while, but then forget about in the midst of all that happens. I can’t help but feel under nourished when I deprive myself of the experience. Not something that I mean to do, more of a case that life takes over. In fact it has been almost three months since I visited my blog, and expressed life meanderings, or maybe even a poem.
Well, now comes January, a new year and a travel plan. When I say plan I obviously mean that in the loosest possible sense, but I do have a plane ticket. That ticket will take me to Sofia the capital of Bulgaria, and from there many paths may unfold.

I’ve explored many possibilities of how to travel around Bulgaria and neighboring countries – rail, car, bus and plane have all been explored, and they all seem difficult, especially in the winter. Given that Bulgaria is bordered by Romania, Turkey, Greece, Serbia and Macedonia there are a myriad of choices how to spend my time wisely, or unwisely. Trip Advisor frequently gives me so much great advice that it is a frequent port of call.
Walking around and getting lost in a new city and enjoying the experience. As I always say “I’m not lost, I just don’t know where I am”.
